NYX Round Lipstick

Recently, I bought a dozen of NYX round lipsticks through ebay from this seller called Elinoy0306 located in the U.S. The idea came up as I found out that NYX is one of the cheapest brand around and some said that the shades are quite nice as well. Some of the shades available are so much different from the other drugstore brands lipsticks. If you browse through the nonpareilboutique.com or Cherryculture.com you will see the price of the round lipstick which is around $1.99 to $2.00, but the swatches from these two websites are so unreliable. Need to go to youtube for more accurate swatches. So the lipsticks arrived a week ago. The shipping from US to Malaysia only took one week which is amazing. That's what I love about this seller.

Stawberry milk, circe, frosted flakes and orange soda.

These four shades above are so bad that when you apply em' on, it will look like a grease being applied to your lips. Do not buy these four shades.

Thalia, tea rose, B52, frappucino, and fire.

These five shades above are acceptable. I'm not sure if i can rate these five with good or awesome. To me, they can be considered as safe nude colors except for fire, but I do love mixing some of them together and getting more vibrant colors.

DIY lipbalm: an attempt

I always fail in DIYs, and this post is about another failing DIY by me. If you are mistakenly or purposely put lipgloss in the search bar on youtube, the list of result would be like this :
~lipgloss by lil' mama
~lipgloss review
~lipgloss dance
~remix version of lipgloss
and lastly homemade lipgloss..

From some of the homemade lipgloss/lipbalm videos, these ingredients below are mentioned :

  1. vaseline ( can get it from Watson, Guardian, etc. )
  2. castor oil ( whattamash? seriously, where can i get this one? What else, i googled, and i found out that this oil can be found at your nearest kedai runcit india).
  3. for colourings : your no longer used lipstick or multipurpose pigments.
  4. food flavouring

My version of ingredients.

1. Mix 1/4 teaspoon of vaseline and lipstick chunk ( well, its not as big as a chunk, more like a sliced piece of the lipstick).
2. Melt this two together and mix.
3. Put 2 to 3 drops of food flavoring into the mixture.
4. Pour the mixture into a container. Leave for about 10 minutes to cool.
5. Store in in the refrigerator.

Ended up being a chunky and oily lipbalm. The vaseline and food flavoring do not mixed well. The bad part : a bitter taste comes from the flavoring effect. The good part : smells nice. I should do further research on this, as i don't have the guts to put it on my lips again. Better luck next time.
Below is a video made by enkoremakeup on how to make your won lip gloss. Enjoy.

Rebellious me

I decided to pick a new foundation as my old NC40 keeps giving me more and more dreadful breakouts on my skin. I ended up getting the tinted moisturizer by Benefit, the yourebel lite. Recently, i was being told that this item is not available indvidually, meaning that it is sold in a set of other Benefit products. I was running out of budget that time and couldn't afford of buying the whole set, but i did find few people selling Benefit products on LYN. And that's how i managed to get my hands on this amazing product plus the price is cheaper too.

Pros: Smells lovely, not thick, blends well with my skin and so far, no breakouts spotted.
Cons: Oily and does not give full coverage.

88 and 78 eyeshadow palette

78 eyeshadow + blusher palette
88 eyeshadow palette
Told you earlier that i'm currently addicted to youtube's makeup channels, and always wondering where did those girls get their colorful eyeshadow palettes. As far as i know, the most known brand of these eyeshadow palettes are the 120 pro palette which is available on ebay and the 88 coastal scents palette. So, i decided to get one for myself and browse through the net looking for the 120 pro palette, hoping that i can get it other than through ebay (as i don't have a paypal account during that time). Zero result. :( Disappointment lasted for about 2 days. I only managed to get the 88 eyeshadow palette from ebay M'sia and then decided to get the 78 eyeshadow and blusher palette... I'm not really sure if these two are really from Coastal Scents but they are so identical. Some of the colors are really pigmented and sadly to say that some are too powdery. They don't seem to be long lasting. Primer or eyeshadow base are really recommended when using the eyeshadow.
Few swatches from both 88 and 78 palettes

1st things first...

Thanx to Lauren Luke or better known as panacea81, i am now officially a makeupholic. I first saw her on videojug while i was searching for beryani rice recipe..hurm...weeirrdo.. I was browsing through the food or recipe section and suddenly i noticed a tutorial on leonna lewis inspired look video. Then i started to browse more makeup tutorials from her on youtube and to my surprise, there were hundreds of makeup tutorials from other youtubers as well. Then i found out about cosmetic reviews, haul and swatches (new word for me, honestly...never heard of it b4). These videos are amazing and entertaining. Since that day, I started to buy more makeups online, ebay, from the nearest cosmetic stores, watson..even guardian..you name it...I think I should better start writing about them..enough on the intros.. Here are some of the first products that i bought years ago...

My first blusher which i bought 4 years ago from Watson. I don't really use it anymore because the color doesn't seem to show on my cheeks. :(

The one and only compact foundation that i've been buying over and over again, Za face powder. Firstly, what i like about this foundation is that it doesn't cause any irritation on my skin. I did try using other drugstore and well-known brands but i don't think they suit my skin type...Plus i do love the shade as it's perfectly matched my skintone..

Can u imagine living with only 1 set of eyeshadow and eyeliner? Well i can..;P . I'm telling you it's not that awful after all. Last year i only have 2 sets of eyeshadow; 1. Revlon (nude brown) as u can see from the pic above and 2.The Bodyshop (also nude brown... i think), which I lost it. Not really satisfied with The Bodyshop eyeliner as it is not really smudge proof. Prefer using the gel liner ( i don't have one but i tried applying it on my lids using the tester at a cosmetic counter and i'm loving it..padappappa) or simply use my eyeshadow.

The lippies..
1. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in sandalwood beige( i can't really recall when did i buy this) Still using it as it's really pigmented and love the creamy texture.
2. The Bodyshop lipstick in 04. Crappy and way too shimmery for me.
3. The bodyshop high shine lip treatment lipgloss. It is so sticky and and i don't see any color coming out from this lipgloss, but really love the smell.

Can u see the Bodyshop lipstick split into 2? This has never happened to my other cheaper brand lipsticks :(

Introducing my first blog..ever..

This is my first blog ever.... yippie yeay yeay!!..i don't usually write stuff and then post it for the world to read ..it's not like i don't want to but really.. i don't know how to do it.. hehe..so here it goes...the reasons of doing this are simply just because i don't have anything else to do besides browsing the internet whole day and....would also like to write some of my experiences , particularly with makeups for others to read...;P...other than that since i'm pretty enjoyed reading other beauty/fashion blogs (to all the beauty, fashion and makeups blogger, u guys are so inspiring hehe), i'm thinking maybe i should make one and see how far can this one goes..
